Animatic Feedback

1.             Very good, clear drawings, sounds are well done and don’t clash and there are appropriate sounds for things such as a typewriter. However I think the titles should be in a different font and not in pink

2.             Credits need to appear for longer

3.             Really like the typing sound effects when you introduce the actors and titles. The font you have used is sometimes quite hard to read.

4.             I like the long shot of the street it gives us a good idea where the setting is, i also like the close ups, some of the shots show us what type of movie it is which is almost like a detective film.

5.             I really like the different shots However the titles are very fast and a little hard to read and the shots are a little repetitive

6.             Titles are a bit fast but the drawings are good and really tell the story. Sound effects are good and the music is dramatic and fits the drawings.

7.             Titles are quite quick, sound effects and a city and typing, drawings can be quite confusing as cannot see the plot of the story.

8.             Drawings are really clear! titles aren't on for long enough and a lot of writing at once but i like the sound effects they're really atmospheric.

9.             Good sound effects, good drawings, the titles are good but some may need to be longer.

10.          Titles are V nice, could be shown for longer though. Like the drawings!! Even the pram!

11.          Titles were a bit fast, and poor scaling pram = car

12.          The camera shot look good because there is a range of angles, pictures were clear and were very good. It was clear what genre film this was as the music helped to show this. The font wasn't very fitting

13.          Really nice sound affects and good background sound, effective overall.

Soundtrack Pro

For my Sound Track pro experiment I focused on the film seven in this I chose to add loads of different sound effects to make the film seem sinister and eerie through out the clip. At the beginning of the clip I noticed that there was a metronome, which I wanted to capture highly with in the first section.  I found that the ticking with I found with in soundtrack pro was not in time with the movements of the metronome. Therefore I had to cut each individual tick place where the metronome pasted the top. I added in asynchronous sound to add to the over all affect, for example the broken radio and the scratching sounds.

Camera Settings

Film Opening Production Company Logo

Hills have Eyes

With text at the start of the film opening it give the viewer background information where the film is set and what they may expect to see or hear about though out the film
I love how they have added articles and newspaper clipping in the opening, which again gives information to the viewer and added to the affect being portrayed.
The speed in which the opening of the film goes adds to the disturbing features involved in the opening sequence.
the mid shot of a man with an axe and with a substance which looks like blood give the viewer the impression that the film could be classed as a triller\ horror.
The close up of a disformed human which is going at a fast speed add to the affect trying to be given which therefore adds to the over all theme of the film .

Panic Room

Though out the opening sequence of this film there is wide angle shots of the location, with various camera angles, from looking up onto the buildings and also looking down upon the city.
The Titles are very simple and in a way slightly too straightforward. With this film being a thriller i would expect the titles to be more daunting.

I would like to use some of these in my opening sequence with wide angle shots of my location.

I do like how the title appear 3D and stand out from the buildings, which in a way does add to the opening of the film making it more moving.

The camera is lower here than has been though out the rest of the opening sequence, there is human interaction and movement .

This is where the first bit of monolog starts which as it is set on a busy pavement does not give and indication of this film to be a thriller  in any wya
